Docent-Guided Tour Request, Madrona Marsh Preserve and Nature Center

Use this form to request a two-hour docent-guided tour for preschool through college students from October through May. Adult groups are also welcome to request guided tours.

Trained Marsh Docents introduce students to one of the last remaining vernal freshwater marshes in Los Angeles County through fun, interactive experiences. Learn about the diversity of life in the Preserve, how these plants and animals are specially adapted to the challenging conditions of their unique habitats, and what visitors can do to help protect and restore this unique community resource.
This two-hour tour will visit the Marsh Nature Center and the Preserve.

Program Length: 2 hours (120 minutes)

Time(s) Offered: 10 am - 12 pm
Grades: K - 12, College, Adults
Maximum number of Participants: 30-60 per day, depending on tour type selected (see Section 2 below)
Recommended: 1 adult chaperone per 10 students
