The Discovery Zone is a place inside the Nature Center classroom built to connect kids with nature through hands-on activities. These include arts and crafts projects, an “I-spy” nature game using the classroom mural, and a variety of Discovery Zone backpacks packed with books and toys focused on frogs, birds, butterflies, and ladybeetles.
Families can check-out the Discovery Zone backpacks from a volunteer or staff member using our DZ tickets and a form of ID. ID cards will be returned when you bring back the Discovery Zone backpack.
The Discovery Zone program will run every Saturday this summer, beginning on Saturday, July 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Bring your little ones to do some fun, engaging activities about nature!
