Join us for a reception in honor of Stephanie Hu in the Nature Center, and have the opportunity to chat with the artist herself about her work and her inspirations.
Stephanie Hu is a local artist and designer focused on helping steward a beautiful and just Los Angeles that can be shared by all its inhabitants. She grew up in Torrance, CA, and is a proud alumna of Victor Elementary School, Bert Lynn Middle School, and West High School before completing her BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design. Returning to Torrance, she now works as a web designer and co-runs just4la, an art + urban planning practice committed to repairing and strengthening local Los Angeles communities by reimagining public spaces, place-making/keeping and amplifying local stories. Alongside her acrylic paintings, she practices woodworking, ceramics, traditional Chinese watercolor and poetry.
